Jacksonville Journal-Courier

Ian Bain of Carrollton will attend Millikin University and play golf for Big Blue head coach Patrick Etherton. A National Honor Society member, Bain plans to study accounting at Millikin.

“We are very excited that Ian has committed to attend Millikin,” Etherton said. “Ian will have the opportunity to challenge for one of our top five spots and help make our young team even stronger.”

A four-year letter winner in the No. 1 spot for Carrollton High School, Bain finished second at regionals, qualified for sectionals and placed 66th overall at the state tournament as a senior with his team’s lowest scoring average. During his junior season, he also qualified for the IHSA sectionals.
